The Training Center of Central Texas VA DEPENDENT BENEFITS is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to help Veteran Dependents and Survivors use their Chapter 35 educational benefits and move on to successful careers.

​

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible if you are the child or spouse of a veteran who:

  • Died or is disabled due to a service-related disability.

  • Died from any cause while disabled.

  • Is missing in action or captured in the line of duty.

  • Is detained or interned in the line of duty by a foreign government.

  • Is hospitalized or receiving outpatient treatment for a service-related disability and is likely to be discharged.

Veteran Dependent Educational Benefits

The Department of Veterans Affairs offers educational benefits to survivors and dependents under Chapter 35 of the GI Bill® program. The Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA) program provides educational and training opportunities for dependents of veterans who are disabled due to service or who died on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition.
